Based on 344 reviewsChinese Fast Street Food in Cardiff has garnered praise for its authentic flavors and generous portions, standing out as a reliable spot for genuine Chinese cuisine in the area. Customers frequently highlight the rich, well-balanced broths, tender meats, and satisfying noodle dishes that evoke traditional tastes. The restaurant is appreciated not only for its quality but also for its value, offering hearty meals at reasonable prices. Overall, it is recognized as a favorite for those seeking authentic Chinese fast food with an emphasis on warmth, taste, and affordability.
Thanks for a bowl of authentic piping hot, sour & spicy noodle for an Asian tourist like me. It’s not easy to find authentic Asian food in this part of the region. Good value & satisfy tummy.
Lolita, Monogatari series, Ruruoni Kenshin and Michael Jackson. What do they all have in common? You might lean in 75:25 of avoiding them due to their controversial nature surrounding them but you have to admit they have brought fresh ideas, takes and won accolades for how original and great they are. Chinese fast food should be included in that list, great portion, prices, presentation but let down by the basic standard food preparation and those dreaded potato noodles. Hopefully things improve because they are 'cookin' and its great.
The crispy duck noodle soup was much better than I expected, my bar was set low for Chinese food in Cardiff.
Best restaurant in cardiff in my humble opinion, come back to it all the time after trying stuff all over cardiff and I keep concluding thats its the best place- noodles are always chewy, beef always melting and the depth of flavour on the broth mate- unreal
Absolutely amazing food, been looking for a more authentic Chinese place for ages and this is a great spot, the prices are well worth it and the portions are outstanding
Chinese Fast Street Food offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. I visited on a quiet day and opted for outdoor seating. While the beef and potato noodle soup lacked the promised potatoes, the rich broth was a revelation, bursting with flavor. The peanuts added a delightful textural contrast and complemented the savory notes perfectly. The crispy duck was decent, but didn't quite hit the mark. The BBQ beef, while generously portioned, was a bit too heavy on the cumin for my taste. However, they thoughtfully provided chili oil on the side for those who crave an extra kick. Overall, the generous portions and the authenticity of the flavors, particularly in the broth, make this restaurant worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to explore other items on their menu.
The lamb noodle soup is warm, rich and succulent. The service is great especially Leo.
AMAZING !!! So fresh, but so quickly made. We felt great after and not heavy at all despite ordering quite a bit. We chose the chicken in szechuan style (we told the lovely waiter we wanted something spicy and he suggested this), huntun noodle soup, dry fried green beans and steamed rice between 2 of us. Every dish was 10/10, and though I unfortunately didn't get the waiter's name, he was super lovely. FYI, the chicken is on the bone
